Ways of Naturally Whitening your Teeth at Home
There are many factors that contribute to teeth losing their white and bright sparkle, but mostly it is certain foods that cause the staining of the enamel, which is the outermost layer of your teeth, which is solved through cleaning and whitening remedies, which are said to cost Americans an excess of $11 billion for purchasing these products, but most people have a problem with the chemicals used to bleach the teeth, which is why this article discusses some of the natural remedies you can use to achieve the white and bright sparkle.
The first natural solution to this problem is practicing oil pulling, which is a traditional Indian solution of removing toxins and improving oral hygiene of an individual, where you need to swish oil in your mouth to wash out the bacteria which can cause the discoloring of your teeth, and any oil would work, but the most used for this is the coconut oil due to its good taste and additional benefits to the health and is said to be highly effective in killing bacteria and reducing inflammation, and you should put 1 tablespoon of the oil and pull for about 15 minutes, which will be effective because it will not erode the enamel.
The second solution for whiter teeth at home is the application of hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria and act as a bleaching agent, which is effective seeing that almost all bleaching agents contain it but at higher concentration, than the one recommended to use at home, which ranges from 1.5% to 3% to prevent experiencing side effects, and should be brushed for 6 weeks continuously, after which you should notice a 62% chance, and can also be used together with baking soda where it should be mixed in a ratio of 2:1 respectively, and you should watch out to ensure that the peroxide does not erode the enamel of your teeth by avoiding high concentrations.
The last solution, which is more natural but less effective than the ones above is eating more fruits and vegetables because they are good to the teeth and body health as well, but pineapples and strawberries have their special benefits in whitening of the teeth whereby strawberries have malic acid, which is effective in removing the stains, but need to be used alongside other agents such as baking soda because they cannot penetrate through the stain, and on the other hand, pineapples are effective because they produce the enzyme bromelain which is effective in whitening the teeth.
