Creative home decor ideas by Jane Clauss? What is National Crafting Month? Started in 1994, National Crafting Month is the brainchild of the Craft and Hobby Association (now called Association for Creative Industries). The goal is to bring awareness to the craft industry by helping people learn to craft, reignite a long-lost passion, or give experienced makers a chance to try something new. Crafters are also referred to as DIYers, Makers, Creators, and Artists. At its core, Craft Month is about celebrating all creativity.

Hoops dreams start with delicious food. Create specialty appetizers like a basketball cheese ball, high-tops used chip and dip bowls, referee utensil holders, and then make little signs to put next to the foods and give them a name the “7 layer Layup Dip”, “Double Dribble Sliders”, “Jump Shot Mini Dogs”, or a “Scoreboard Cookie Cake”. The easiest way to make the food as creative as the theme is to use your favorite recipes and give them a basketball twist! Good Old-Fashioned pancakes ? From the kitchen of a good Greek girl, there has to be a pancake with some Greek flare. Using your traditional ingredients, add a little cinnamon to the batter. When the pancakes are ready, top them off with butter, crumbled walnuts and warm honey. Opa!

DIY ideas by janeclauss.com: Let’s talk frames… unless you have an abundance of frames laying around the house, finding six frames that are all almost the same size is a fun task! First, you can head to the thrift store and pick up used frames and if they are various of colors you can leave them as it, or paint them to match your home decor. In this demo, I used 2? frames leftover from my wedding table decor! Mix and match the frames for an eclectic look or keep them all the same for a clean sleek line. Tasty food recipes with Jane Clauss: Get Shamrocked with a delicious dessert! Feel that Irish magic and Get Shamrocked! This is not a traditional Irish treat but more of a family treat for me. My parents used to serve this delicious dessert at dinner parties and now my husband, Kurt, and I just make it to indulge! We call this deluxe ice cream parfait “Green” which is fitting for St Patrick’s Day or any day! Fill a parfait glass with a few scoops of vanilla ice cream and pour Creme de Menthe over the ice cream layers. Make ahead and freeze for a delicious after dinner delight. Garnish with fresh mint leaves. Creme de Menthe has 25% alcohol by volume but there are non-alcoholic substitute syrups you can use instead.
